There’s a daring and bold look about the LC200 that immediately commands respect. Along with a more assertive front bumper design and repositioned fog lights, the 2012 LC200 VX includes daytime running lights and halogen headlights with automatic levelling. On the VX Limited the side mirrors have a position memory, an automatic anti-glare feature, heater, plus an auto reverse tilt and camera to assist parking and reversing. To keep the view ahead clear, both models also have rain sensing wipers and water repellent windscreen glass.
Newly designed 18 inch alloy wheels complete the strong and commanding look.

Keyless entry welcomes you to a hard wearing yet luxurious LC200 interior that’s designed to comfortably take the rough with the smooth.
A press of the smart start button activates the full 8 inch touchscreen and a bright Optitron instrument panel with Multi-Information Display (MID) that updates you on your vehicle’s status. The touchscreen integrates a reversing camera display and an innovative Satellite Navigation system that does more than help you find your way.
Everything is at your fingertips with audio, multi-function display, telephone and voice recognition switches on the steering wheel so you still can focus on the road while making adjustments. In the VX Limited you can also heat your power adjusted steering wheel.
In the most extreme conditions the powerful, rapidly responsive air conditioning will quickly heat or cool the cabin space for you. The VX has independent controls for front and rear, while the VX Limited has independently controlled four zone climate controls, heated power front and rear seats as well as ventilated front seats with driver memory. The VX Limited also has a cool box conveniently placed between the driver and front passenger to keep travel snacks and drinks cold.

When you’re going off-road, LC200’s multi-terrain technology goes well beyond the proven full-time 4WD that delivers variable torque front and rear through a Torsen Limited Slip Differential (LSD).
In testing conditions where you need to totally focus on manoeuvring the vehicle, you can select CRAWL control which acts like an off-road cruise control with 5 pre-set speed settings. Either on road or traveling through steep, unstable terrain you’ll have the added reassurance of Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).
Multi-terrain Anti-Lock Braking (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) ensures better braking on a wider range of surfaces. The VX Limited also offers Multi-Terrain Select which offers four selectable terrain modes for everything from mud, to rocks, ruts and ridges. The four camera Multi-Terrain Monitor aboard the VX Limited gives you a much better view of your surroundings and help you through those testing situations.
To help you manoeuvrer around a tight corner in difficult terrain, both the VX and VX Limited also have an Off-Road Turn Assist feature.
The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) comes standard on the VX limited (option for VX) helps suppress body roll, while wheel articulation has been improved for excellent off road traction. |

In addition to the raft of driving systems, the LC200 features a comprehensive range of active and passive safety features to keep you and your family safe on or off road.
The Land Cruiser utilizes welded high-strength sheet steel to increase rigidity and reduces weight while all eight seating positions feature three-point seatbelts.
Front, side and knee airbags protect the driver and front passenger while all occupants are protected with curtain shield air bags. On the VX Limited second row side airbags are also provided. The VX Limited also has Active Front Headrests which instantly move up and forward, providing further protection in the event of a rear end collision.

You won’t have to struggle for power
A mighty 4.5 litre twin turbo charged diesel V8 Double Over-head Cam (DOHC) with intercooler will quickly get you on your way with 195kW of power produced at 34000rpm. There is plenty of torque in reserve with a massive 650Nm produced at 1600rpm providing the muscle needed to tackle the best, and worst, of New Zealand’s natural terrain.
The Land Cruiser’s six-speed automatic transmission is designed to handle high torque while performing with luxurious smoothness. A sequential shift mode allows the driver to select gears manually.
